Aadhaar Card Is Now Mandatory For Applicants Of JEE Mains (2017)


It is pivotal to note that, the JEE main examination, an introduction to the JEE advanced test for the selection process of students for admission to the most reputable engineering institutions such as IITs in India, is scheduled to held in 104 cities all over the country on April 2, 2017. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), that conducts the JEE main examination has clarified that the Adhaar card is now compulsory according to the recent standard and norms set by the government for the candidates to appear in the entrance test of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains). 


As a matter of fact, Although very less number of Malayali students crack  (JEE Main) each year, the new norm of making Aadhaar Card mandatory for JEE-2017 applicants for verifying applicants’ details for the entrance test. As a result of this, declaration students come across the new hurdle in their way and difficulty for NRK candidates. Moreover, families of aspirants are in huge dilemma that what should be done as every one of them does not own Adhaar card.

According to parents of aspirants, they will be traveling to Kerala for the Adhaar card registrations as now Adhaar cards are mandatory for the competitive entrance examination, we ought to visit Kerala twice one for the purpose of Aadhaar card and other for the Jee examination, moreover, it is very difficult for many JEE applicants who are in abroad as they can not afford to visit twice in a quarter as chance of Adhaar card with them are unlikely. 

But more importantly, commencement of the application process for the IIT competitors  for JEE Main 2017 registration and candidates will be able to apply online only through JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in. The online application process will start from December 1, 2016, onwards  and the last date for the application online is January 2, 2017, and fees can be paid up to January 3,  2017. Competitors are facing anxiety and restlessness as they do not  have Adhaar card, in the meantime, to settle down the problem faced by the Jee candidates in the country who wish to appear in this particular exam, CBSE has made numbers of arrangements at all the examination centers.

As per Unnikrishnan K, principal, Benchmarks International School, in charge of the Adhaar facilitation centre for students in Malabar region, they are provided with the instructions to provide students with a unique registration ID through which they can fill their JEEMain application form and other procedures will be carried out afterward, however they have not received any single inquiry till now and also status of the NRK students is not known till date.
It is noteworthy, results of JEE Main 2017 will be out on April 27, 2017, and the registration for JEE Advanced 2017 exam will be from April 28, 2017, to May 2, 2017. Further, tThe registration along with the late fee for JEE Advanced examination will be done from May 3, 2017, to May 4, 2017. The admit cards for JEE Advanced exam will be available from May 10, 2017, to May 21, 2017. The JEE(Advanced) 2017 exam will be held on May 21, 2017.
