Reliance Jio is on the top of everything nowadays and it has been discussing by all the Indians. The telecom operator has clearly taken over the 4g network market. Clearly, Indians are absolutely crazy by all the free things and since Reliance Jio is offering all the services, unlimited calling, messages, and unlimited data till 31st of March 2017 as the limit has been extended from 31st of December to 31st of March, the offer of Reliance Jio is too good and the Indians are queuing up to get that Jio SIM card on their hands. However, the another telecom is not behind in the race and since Reliance Jio has been launched, another telecom also increased their games and announced many new offers and plans. Right on the telecom wars, Government gas also aggressively started promoting their Digital India campaign.
But when the Reliance Company is offering all the facilities of free calling, messages, and unlimited data through Jio, isn’t it unfair to just stick with one network. Each province in India has telecom operators which are more popular and successful. Now, Government also wants to support digital India and Digitization, as they have their own telecom operators so they need to join their hands with other operators to announce their schemes. For this government of Goa has done something new. The government wants to spread more internet knowledge in the region and make youth aware of the internet power and things that can be achieved by using it. So, they are planning to provide free calling and free internet facilities for all the youth in Goa to help the youth experiment and get the taste of the Virtual world.
To spread the knowledge of internet and to promote the Digital India dream of the government, Goan government finally taken a daring step and tied up with Vodafone company to offer Goan citizens free internet and free calling facilities. The offer is mainly planned for the Youth who love to be online and experiment with the virtual world. They have a lookout for multiple offers and ready to experiment to see what gives them the best deal. The Vodafone will offer free calling (local and national) as well as the free unlimited internet data which will be the same as Reliance Jio. It might easily give really big competition to Reliance Jio in the region as the offer will be approved by the government. Around 1.25 lakh youth, between the age of 16 to 30 years are going to avail the benefits of this new offer of Vodafone. However, there will be the limit on how much data or internet can be used. Only people who are the resident of Goa for last 5 years can apply for this scheme. On the other hand, Airtel has launched Rs 148 unlimited internet and calling pack with the validity of 90 days.
Vodafone will provide monthly scheme where the users can get 100 minutes of free calling and up to 3 GB of Internet free per month. And after that, it will be chargeable. For calls and the internet and the rates for the same are not yet disclosed. The new scheme of which is now launched in Goa called “Yuva Sanchar Yojana” and will be announced soon in the state. If a user is found misusing it by anyway then strict action will be taken against that person where he or she will be blacklisted and their access will be officially canceled. Through this scheme, the government is trying to test youth’s interest on the internet and also trying to understand how they are adapting to it. The validity of this scheme is for 3 years and either aadhaar card or voter card is required to get the Sim along with the passport size photograph.
