There has been a lot of changes we are watching these days in the Indian Test Cricket Team and this all started when our own M. S Dhoni took retirement from Test Cricket. Another young enthusiastic and magnificent player Virat Kohli has become the new Skipper of Indian Test Cricket Team. The current opponents of India, England with which a Test series is going on and today, the 8th December 2016 the 4th test match between the two teams is going on at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India. The opposition team is always talking about the aggression of team India players. Before the start of the fourth test series between India and England Kohli elaborated that that the bowlers of Indian Cricket team has been very impressive during the past series too, and they are performing very well in the ongoing series with England too, there has been a remarkable change in the team’ performance during the tour of Australia in 2014-2015 when Virat Kohli had taken the responsibility of Test Cricket Captaincy. Kohli’s captaincy is improving as the series is going by, but he is getting so reliable on the bowlers like Ravindra Jadeja left-arm spinner to keep England’s run rate down.
The Indian Skipper Virat Kohli is a bit unhappy about the breaks or says the luxury the England is getting. The England team is taking a three-week break betweenTest and ODI series, as they will go back to their Native land for Christmas. The England Team had done this before also in their previous tour to India in the year 2012-13 and also in the year 2001-02 when they were here to play the Test and ODI series against India. The discussion over the break time period of England started when an Indian media person asks the Captain Virat Kohli at Wednesday’s pre-match media interaction about the eight-day break between the third and fourth Test match. The three-week Christmas break was not mentioned earlier by any of the journalists but it gets into the limelight when an English journalist asked Virat that what does he feel about this “the three week Christmas break” ? Virat Kohli replied bafflingly that even they should come back from there when they (Indian Cricket Team) go to England. He also mentioned that when they the Indian Cricket Team was there for three and a half month they were under surveillance as whatever they doing even in their personal lives all were under the eye of media. He said that he would like to see the same happing with the England team or the Indian Cricket Team might get a chance to come back to India for 25 days for a break, he added.
Not any other country’s Cricket Team has done this before that they go to some other country for a series nad take a break for a few days and go back to their Native land and then again come to the hosting country to complete the series. It has been in the record that, India’s tour to England in the year 2014, that consists of five Tests, five ODIs, and a T20 was from July 2014 to September 2014 and team India was there only for the complete three months. This is the first time that any of the Indian Captain is talking about that whether this kind of break is applicable to both sides or not. Well, Mr. Captian this is the matter which the two boards can decide rather than the players although the efforts made by the players for their teams is valuable but the point raised by Kohli is still to be considered by the BCCI.
