Folks are literally crazy behind cricket, so, somehow heart-aching news for cricket fans as our renounced cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni the captain of Team India has declared his resignation as India’s cricket captain on Wednesday. Moreover, currently prominent cricketer Dhoni  leading the Indian team in ODIs and T20 against England internationals. This will be the last international series as Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from Tests on December 30, 2014 in Australia.

Dhoni gazed everyone’s attention as he announced the shocking news that he is not anymore keen to lead in the limited overs format, similar thing he did with his Test retirement in Australia. Dhoni will be just available for selection for the T20I series and One Day against England that will starts in Pune on January 15, 2017. The team of the senior national selectors will select the team on Friday.

It is pertinent to note that, the 35-year-old ”captain cool” famous for his calmness on-field belongs to Ranchi has expressed his strong desire to the BCCI to quit as the captain of the Indian cricket team from the limited overs formats of the game, as per the report from the board. On the contrary side, legend cricketer Dhoni was keen to lead India in the ICC Champions Trophy in UK in June, 2017, it is evident that, he has won almost every international silverware and also Dhoni has played 283 ODIs matches and 199 of the matches as captain, furthermore, he played 73 T20 internationals and led 72 in India, a global record, furthermore, in a shorter tenure of the game he was regarded as one of the best finishers of the game.

Post Dhoni’s resignation announcement as captain, The BCCI, did not immediately mentioned a successor. However, M. S Dhoni gradually became the ODI captain, successor of Rahul Dravid when he gave up upon his captaincy. Dhoni’s most exemplary moments came in the year 2011 when he hit a whopping six to win ODI World Cup for country’s after 28 prolonged years.
